A professor once told someone I know “never spend time with anyone who doesn’t know you are the greatest writer on earth”

How many times do we find ourselves in circles where our personal brilliance and value is not appreciated! How many times have we found ourselves trying to explain ourselves to people who will never understand! It’s not that there is anything wrong with the fact that they don’t understand, it’s just a normal fact of life–most people don’t understand you.

Self care is resting in my house right now. I’m remembering these words that were relayed to me and “repenting of my sins”. It feels so nice to feel no guilt, no obligation, no strings tugging to impress, or make the egg hatch sooner than its time.

Freedom is no longer needing.  Self care is always going where you’re loved.
